Björn Holzwarth is new spokesperson for German Property Partners (GPP)

On 1st November 2023 Björn Holzwarth, managing partner of E & G Real Estate, assumed the role of spokesperson for German Property Partners (GPP). He thus took over from Andreas Rehberg, spokesperson for the management board of Grossmann & Berger. The position of spokesperson for this nation-wide commercial property network is rotated every two years among the member companies. Apart from Grossmann & Berger and E & G Real Estate, GPP membership comprises Anteon Immobilien, GREIF & CONTZEN Immobilien and blackolive.

“We are living in exciting but challenging times,” comments Holzwarth. “In view of the economy’s recessionary tendencies and their impact on Germany’s markets for property investment and office letting, comprehensive consultancy services in these fields are more important than ever before. And so I am happy to be able to continue playing an active part in shaping the future of GPP over the coming years.”

TEN YEARS OF PAN-REGIONAL EXPERTISE

The five GPP partners offer services in matters of office-letting and investment in commercial real estate. More than 420 employees based in Germany’s top seven cities – Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich – plus Essen and Bonn, perform network services. “Working through GPP we can broker real estate transactions throughout Germany,” remarks Holzwarth. “Our partner companies are well-established property services providers with intimate knowledge of their local markets. We mutually benefit from this local expertise and are steadily expanding our pan-regional capabilities.” In 2018 GPP also began cooperation with two international associates, Carter Jonas from Great Britain and Van Gool Elburg Vastgoedspecialisten from the Netherlands. In 2023 the network celebrated its tenth anniversary.

CONCENTRATED EXPERTISE FOR ADDED VALUE

Holzwarth reports that, “We look back on a period of mutual trust and successful cooperation in the GPP network. In 2022 we jointly brokered some 580,000 square metres of commercial real estate and were involved in a transaction volume of around 1.5 billion euros.” Since it was founded in 2013 GPP has brokered more than 4m square metres of commercial space and investment trades with a total value of more than €16bn. “Exchange and close cooperation are the key elements of our network,” says Holzwarth. “The combination of local market knowledge and a network with national reach generates tangible added value for our clients. We aim to continue to concentrate on this mix in future and expand the development of GPP.”
