Hamburg: Stadtsalat opens first restaurant in the Hanseatic city
Hamburg food delivery service Stadtsalat is expanding and has branched out into the restaurant business. Following the July 2019 opening of its flagship store in Berlin, a location in Hamburg is to follow in spring 2020. Customers will be able to order salads and bowls of food which they can collect from the new outlet, have delivered, or enjoy on the premises. Grossmann & Berger, a property services provider and member of German Property Partners (GPP), brokered suitable premises in Hamburg-Neustadt.
Inner city site
Offering some 460 m² of floor space the premises are on the ground floor of the “Opera Offices Nero” building on Grosse Theaterstrasse. The new-build property has large windows fronting the street and stands in a neighbourhood of restaurants, cafés, shops and offices. A real estate fund set up by Berenberg owns the rental property.
About the Hamburg start-up
Stadtsalat was launched in 2015 as a “virtual salad bar”. The company supplies freshly prepared salads and bowls of food. Where possible, Stadtsalat strives to use seasonal produce from the region and has banned all additives.
