blackolive advises and supports the Max Planck Institute in its search for a new rental space

The Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Theory concludes a new long-term lease in the Turmcarrée, Bleichstraße 59 in Frankfurt. The rental space of the internationally oriented institute is around 1,100 m². The institute, which has its headquarters at Hansaallee 41, was advised by blackolive, a member of German Property Partners (GPP). "We are very pleased to have found a partner in blackolive who has supported us fully and with great commitment in all areas concerning the new office space," says Ms Carola Schurzmann, Administrative Director of the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Theory.

The property

The Turmcarrée, located in the middle of the city centre at Eschenheimer Tor, is characterised by its urban diversity of uses. In addition to high-quality retail concepts, attractive flats and an exclusive fitness studio, the property offers modern and flexible office space with floor-to-ceiling windows. The "Zeil" shopping mile and the "My Zeil" shopping centre are within walking distance and provide excellent local amenities. In addition, the Turmcarrée has optimal transport connections thanks to the nearby S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations.

The Institute

The Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Theory, one of currently 86 institutes of the Max Planck Society, makes a significant contribution to basic research in the legal and social sciences as well as in the historical humanities. In the three departments "European and Comparative Legal History", "Historical Normative Regimes" and "Multidisciplinary Legal Theory", as well as currently two Max Planck Research Groups, more than 70 scientists from different regions of the world work together. Since its foundation in 1964, the Institute with its large specialised legal history library has been located in the city of Frankfurt am Main, which is considered a hub in the worldwide network of basic legal research.
